I have always been fascinated by structure. Floor plans, beautiful objects, art, interior design. That interest, along with wanting to be useful to people, is what brought me into real estate and what has kept me here. It has never felt much like a job.

I have been advising buyers and sellers in Lakeview, Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast since 2005, from first-time buyers to longtime owners looking for something that fits them better than what they have now.

I moved to Chicago at 25 and settled in Lakeview. Years later I bought into a prewar high-rise, which is the kind of building I care most about, and it has been my home for twenty years. I have lived with the plaster, the casement windows and the assessment letters. When I walk a client through a prewar building, I am not reading it off a listing sheet.

I am a Chicago Association of REALTORS® Top Producer and a recipient of Engel & Völkers' Ambassador and President's Club awards, and I rank in the top 1.5% of agents nationwide. Chicago Agent Magazine has also named me again to its Who's Who in Chicagoland Real Estate.

What I try to give a client is information. How the market is actually moving, what a building's financials say, what a renovation will cost before anyone falls in love with the idea of it. People make good decisions when they can see the whole picture. My job is to put it in front of them, and then to be reachable when they want to talk it through.

I am driven by what helps my clients, not by the sale. I listen.

I write here regularly about the Chicago market, my own listings, properties from across the Engel & Völkers network, and how people actually live in these neighborhoods.

I also start every day quietly, before the phone does. That habit has done more for my work than any system I have tried.
